Vortex based mathematics
What is vortex math?
Real arithmetic, untested claims
Vortex math is a number system created by Marko Rodin, who was presenting it by 1990. It rests on one move: add up a number’s digits until one digit is left. Put 1 to 9 around a circle, keep doubling, and the digits trace 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5 in an endless loop while 3, 6 and 9 form a triangle of their own. Rodin and his followers say the figure maps how energy moves through the universe. The arithmetic is real and only works in base 10. The energy claims have never been tested.

The short version
Where vortex math comes from
It starts with a name of God. Rodin was raised in the Bahá’í Faith and set out, in his own telling, to find the meaning of the Greatest Name. He turned the word Abhá into numbers with the Arabic letter-number system and, by his count, got 9. Vortex math grew from there. The Bahá’í Faith itself cautions against numerology.
The rule is the digital root. Adding up a number’s digits until one is left gives its remainder after dividing by 9, a fact that has been used to check sums for more than a thousand years. Try it on any number.
The drawing is the chart. Nine on top, 1 to 8 clockwise, doubling lines through 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5 and a triangle through 3, 6, 9. Fan sites call it “the mathematical fingerprint of God.” You can draw it, and variations on it, in Vortex Studio.
The claims came next. Rodin says energy flows along the doubling paths and that coils wound along them, Rodin coils, show levitation and wireless power. His own 2010 paper admits no controlled studies had been published.
Tesla came last. Vortex math is often sold as Tesla’s 3, 6, 9. Tesla died in 1943, never wrote about digit sums, and the famous quote has no source.

Questions
Vortex math
What is vortex math?
Vortex math, or vortex based mathematics, is a number system created by Marko Rodin. It reduces every number to one digit by adding its digits, then draws doubling on a circle of 1 to 9, which traces 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5 while 3, 6 and 9 form a triangle. Its followers say the figure shows how energy flows. The arithmetic is real; the energy claims are untested.
Who created vortex math?
Marko Rodin, an American who says he found it by turning a Bahá’í name of God into numbers. He was presenting it by 1990, and his main written account is a 2010 paper with Greg Volk. His follower Randy Powell spread it further in a 2010 TEDx talk.
What is the vortex math formula?
There is no formula in the usual sense. The one rule is the digital root: add a number’s digits until one digit is left, which gives its remainder after dividing by 9 (with 9 in place of 0). Everything in the vortex diagram follows from applying that rule to doubling.
What is a vortex math chart?
It is a circle with 9 at the top and 1 to 8 going clockwise, with lines joining 1, 2, 4, 8, 7, 5 in order and a triangle joining 3, 6 and 9. The doubling lines make a shape like an infinity sign. Rodin also lays the digits out on a grid that wraps onto a torus.
Why is 3, 6, 9 important in vortex math?
Because doubling never reaches them. Only multiples of 3 have digits that collapse to 3, 6 or 9, and powers of 2 are never multiples of 3. Vortex math reads this as 3 and 6 oscillating under 9 as the control. Mathematically it happens because 9 = 3 × 3 and we count in tens.
What is vortex math used for?
Its followers use it to design Rodin coils, toroidal coils wound along the doubling pattern, and to explain the universe as a torus. No device built on it has passed a controlled test. In practice it is used in hobby coil builds, wellness jewelry and as a drawing puzzle.
